Bardensbo began as a website in Danish back in 2023.
Actually, Bardensbo existed on soul level before this – as I endeavored on my druidic path and embraced the call from within, Bardensbo became the name of the druid and the witch, that had waited patiently in my heart for me to finally acknowledge their presence.
Bardensbo is a crafted Danish name meaning The Bard’s Dwelling or The Bard’s Home.
To those yet not in the know, the bard is a druidic title for the storytellers and communicators. In some druid orders, they work with three levels; the Bard being the first, the Ovate being the second and the Druid being the final level. In the order I am a member of, we have no hierarchy; here we are all druids on the same path and none are more or less than the other.
But I have a soft place for the bard, as I have always enjoyed stories and how knowledge can be shared by painting with words.
A hick-up
As I mentioned, the website was originally written in Danish. I am much more fluent and intuitive in English, but I felt it had to be Danish because I thought, “Wouldn’t people find it strange if I didn’t write in my native language?”
However, it turned out to be a perfect example of why you should always follow what feeds your heart and soul.
Although I had written a few articles on the site, I simply got stuck. I had no motivation to write whatsoever. So, for a long time, the Danish site just sat there, and nothing happened.
Until I got a payment reminder in 2026 from my hosting provider – I shut down the entire site, no saving or downloading anything – and opened bardensbo.com.
And lo’ and behold; my motivation for writing came back.
So this is the background story for why you are able to read these pages right now.
More than writing
From the beginning, when I wanted to share from my own spiritual journey, I have had people reach out in DM’s asking about the right ways to do various things.
But this is not my role in this life time.
If you search for gurus and authority figures, you will not find it here.
I am a firm believer in that my truth can never be yours, and yours can never be mine – but we can share our truths and take in what resonates and what serves us on our individual paths.
So throughout these pages and articles, you will quite often see me advice on reflection and work out how something sits with you.
To make an example; your version of a perfect, beautiful world, how that looks like, will have a status of “truth” for you.
But my friend, sit three people down and ask each of them to paint with words their version, their truth, of a perfect beautiful world and you will get three different worlds. They may all be beautiful in their own way – but they will be different.
Who is any of us to say, which holds the most beauty, which world is the truer version?
You will likely argue for the version, that resemble yours the most – in many cases, failing to even consider what you don’t recognise.
We see this in the spiritual community as well – maybe you have already seen it.
People defending their way to pull cards, to work with crystals, to speak with ancestors, as if there is only one way available. If someone says otherwise, you can be sure to find these people in the comments, arguing the approach of others.
But consider this; two clairvoyants get results for their clients, but they work in very different ways.
Spirit is infinite, the realm of spirit is infinite. The ways to connect to spirit within are also infinite.
For questions concerning your path, only you hold the answers.
So the articles here are not just writing and information; rather, they are conversations, reflections and inspirations, playing tunes that may or may not harmonise with you. Dive into the harmonies where you find them – and leave the notes that doesn’t feel in tune with the song you want to sing.
The Home, the Hearth and the Refuge
These three words are the essence of what Bardensbo is supposed to be for you.
The Home, the Hearth and the Refuge encompass the sense of quiet warmth, rest and connection, solitairy as well as in community.
It’s like walking through the woods and knocking on the door of a cottage and being welcomed in. Here you can sit yourself down, get your hands and feet warm and a little bite to eat. You can listen to the tales from the Bard at his cauldron or you can look around, be inspired, let your mind wander on it’s own.
This is the sensation that Bardensbo was created to evoke.
When you leave, put the articles down and get on with your day, I want you to feel a little lighter, a little more peaceful, a little more hopeful.
But it’s home, hearth and refuge in multiple layers.
It began as a website, with attached social media platforms, but the long term goal is to transform the online, digital, hearth into a physical one:
A countryside location with a degree of self-sustaining produce, where nature is offered a space, where rescued animals can get back to health and where actual travellers may stop by and use the meditation garden, learn about some of the herbs or join in on a New Moon tribute – the options can be endless, because as of yet, the realisation still awaits.
But this is the ultimate vision for Bardensbo; providing a hearth at which you can rest your feet and warm your hands. A hearth that is dedicated to pay it forward and extend whatever generousity can be spared to organistions also committed to nature and animals and our sacred Mother Earth.
Whether this happens in five years time or twenty, doesn’t really matter. Every article written, every tree planted, every small act of support from the community of Flame Keepers helps move that dream a little closer.

You will find that most content is available for free, which is deliberate and in tune with the values of the project.

While I tend to sign my emails with “creator and Keeper of the Hearth”, I see every supporter as a Keeper of the Flame. I tend to the Hearth, but the support is people offering wood for the fire, herbs for the cauldron and cushions for new travellers.
Bardensbo is born into a world seemingly fueled by division, but I believe many of us long for something different.
Let’s build places where unity is at our core, where compassion is our language, and where the warmth of hearths reminds us that we were never meant to walk alone.
